We all have things we want to add to our lives as easily and naturally as brushing our teeth (not flossing). So what’s the trick? Start small. 30 days. The big changes are probably the first to come to mind, but lets be realistic.  Make a list of 10 small things you’d want to add or subtract from your life, then pick one.  Don’t be afraid to pick something “easy”, it turns out doing anything for 30 days that isn’t already part of your routine is tough.

Like Matt Cults said in his TED talk, “the next 30 days are going to pass whether you like it or not, so why not think about something you’ve always wanted to try and give it a shot.”

Today was my last day leading 30 days of donation yoga in the park. It was my first successful 30 day challenge. At new years I thought about monthy resolutions after little to no success with yearly resolutions, but it took until June to actually follow through. Hey, better late than never.  Yoga in the park was a fun challenge and probably easier than others because it involved my community, I had to show up. The mental and physical benefit was shared, but I’m left with a laundry list of ways it contributed to my life. Just being outside for one hour everyday was extremely benefical to my wellbeing. Your guaranteed to feel “accomplished” and who doesn’t want that?

Here’s a list of possible 30 day challenges that you could take on….

Floss your teeth :)

Make your bed

Wake up an hour earlier

Write in a journal for a half hour

Read for a half hour

Swim

Spend an hour on a personal project (not work related)

Go outside for 20 minutes

Meditate for 15 minutes

Cut out fast food

Cut out dairy or sugar

Run/yoga/ or some physical challenge

Keep your inbox at Zero

Take 1 photo

No email after 6pm (like France!)

No TV

Write a note/letter to a friend or family member

Once you commit to your challenge find someone to hold you accountable or better yet get someone to do it with you.

and keep saying it out loud, loud enough for us to hear!

Let us know what you’re committing to.

We believe in you!

LLYOV,

Tawney
